Bipolar Fractal

Video Installation

“Bipolar Fractal” is a moving image abstraction that represents the bipolar states of mind, characterized by alternating episodes between mania and depression. The experience of ascending and descending states is conveyed using geometrical mutations and dynamic movements of Rutt Etra-like synthesized fractal forms and corresponding frequencies of sounds.

The artwork explores the destabilizing moments caused by abject information and aberrant signals within the same system that captures or banishes errant expressions.

Video work first screened at “Cacophony” video exhibition and curated by Ebru Yetiskin.
